Through<\/span> a <\/span>rigorous<\/span> movement<\/span> vocabulary<\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Fables<\/span><\/span><\/em> offers<\/span> a <\/span>sometimes<\/span> harsh<\/span>, <\/span>sometimes<\/span> poetic<\/span> vision of<\/span><\/span> women’s<\/span> ongoing<\/span> struggle<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> Against the <\/span>backdrop<\/span> of the chaos of an <\/span>era<\/span> turned<\/span> upside<\/span> down,\u00a0the <\/span>piece<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>projects<\/span> us <\/span>into<\/span> fantastical<\/span> spaces<\/span> from<\/span> which<\/span> larger<\/span>–<\/span>than<\/span>-life <\/span>characters<\/span> emerge<\/span> \u2014 <\/span>contemporary<\/span> female<\/span> archetypes<\/span> who<\/span> paved<\/span> the <\/span>way<\/span> to <\/span>freedom<\/span> from<\/span> invisible <\/span>yet<\/span> real <\/span>barriers<\/span>.
